Noob Fuel question

Post by sesoma »

First campaign, against the AI I am at turn 8 and 9th Pz received 14 fuel. It is in the same hex as XIV Pz Corps, its corps. And XIV Pz Corp is "In Supply (40MP)". "Range" is listed as 25.
Also vehicles for both the corps and division are at what they need. Why was almost no fuel delivered? What variable am I missing? Also, it seems the units around it received much of the needed supply and all ammo.
Most of my armor divisions get almost no fuel but get ammo. It looked like the only difference for fuel is the number of vehicles, but clearly I am missing something obvious. Thanks.

Its distance from your railheads that matters + trucks.

WitW + WitE are very simpliar as far as this goes.

There is a ton of play in both systems an amazing amount.

Once you figure out the logistics part of the game, your tanks have more MP's and your Infantry have more CV's.

Its also possible your leaders missed some key rolls, but guessing its a RH+truck issue.

Thanks. Since it is a problem with most of my mobile divisions, they must be too far from the railhead/trucks, but from the unit displays, it looks like it says they are in range and have the full complement of trucks. They seem to be "in supply" because the CV is still strong (although, as one would expect, not full), it is just the fuel that ran out and is not reaching them. One thing that wasn't clear to me in the manual, are there percentage reductions to fuel delivered when the unit is at the far end of the supply range? It looked like that only kicked in after 1941?

So, you can do something about the distance from the railhead, but what can you do about the trucks?

Also, what do you mean by the amazing amount of play in the system? Is this to do with the leadership and the distance you space HQs etc?

Hope the original poster doesn't mind me posting in his thread.
