RE: War: Feb. 2314 con't.
Good move getting everyone involved in the war. Imo it's a little "gamey", but if I was in your situation I would have done the same thing.
I'm really enjoying how hard this AAR is. My whole purpose was to make the mod as difficult as possible. This is definitely a showcase.
Idk if you're getting bored, but please don't quit!

RE: Update
The Imperial Palace and STRATCOM had come to an agreement after taking stock of the current situation: the Char Dilba Authority was just too powerful-still-for the Empire to fight successfully. The loss of Clotoa- and with it the Bio-Engineering Facility- was what convinced all parties of the realities of the situation. Taking Vilmuueni 3 had been a masterstroke on the part of the Empire; holding it would allow the Empire to muster the resources necessary to put up a fight the Naxx would notice. The question was would the Empire be given the time to build up the force truly necessary? The only way to find out was to try, and the Privy Council had decided on the method of going forward. Contacts were made again with the Char Dilba Authority in order to seek an armistice.

Imperial colonies. The population of Vilmuueni 3 is taking its sweet time to get used to the idea of being a part of the Empire.

Temporary brain-slip.
Greetings all! This is just to let everyone know that this is still in progress, but-
Recently game performance was suffering terribly and I feared that I had reached the limits of my system... this however turned out to be premature. After spending the better part of a morning tweaking my system, all is well. Defrag had not run for 6 weeks (due to me retardedly shutting down the system on the scheduled night [8|]), but now that everything is up to snuff, no problemo. Look for an extensive text post tomorrow. [:D]

RE: Temporary brain-slip.
Good to know.
I was wondering if a crash was on the horizon.

9 Oct. 2421
For approximately six and a half years following the most recent cessation of hostilities the Empire dedicated itself arduously to repairing damage taken from the latest round of fighting and improving defenses. All classes of orbital defenses and military ship designs were upgraded, ships were repaired and planetary garrisons were massively increased. The new defense doctrine mandated a small space port and four defense bases over the major colony in every Imperial system- in systems where there were more than one colonized planet four defense bases would defend the remaining planets. The initial phase of vastly increasing planetary garrison strength called for 100 ground battalions per colony- it was understood that this would take years to accomplish but by October 2421 Phase 1 was more than 95% complete.
The Empire's decision to bring the Tarapin and the Core into the war had proven to be a sound one, a great decrease in the number of Naxx ships in the Imperial Detection Zone lending credence to this. By February 2421 however, it was noticed that the Core Axis was beginning to take colonies from the Naxx. When the formerly Imperial colony of Ignacia Major was taken from the Naxx tensions rose precipitously in STRATCOM. The Privy Council took immediate notice and reminded the Emperor that at all costs a multi-front war was to be avoided.
Notice here the number of military ships, troops, space ports and defense bases compared to the last Imperial Economy display in 2414.
