Commander Staff Pts

Post by nikdav »

What's the range and the use of the staff pts ?
I see Manstein had 2000, Hoth 1500.

Staff points, as far as I know has to do with the amount of staff the officer in question can provide a bonus for. As such they have no influence on the range, which is hard coded/coded in the rulevars.

But what's the difference in battle between a commander with 1000 staff points and another with 5000 staff points ?

He'll be able to command a larger force, because he's able to command more staff.

Note that this only concerns the commander bonusses. They will drop slowly towards (but never reaching) 0 if the commander is commanding more staff than he is capable.

I think the mouse overs when in-game are explaining the calculation as well.

best wishes,
Vic

Thanks Vic, but adding statistics for new commander is strangely complicated,
what's the range for example :

staff pts 0- 2000 ?
Combatmod 0 -100 ?
Command points 0 - 10 ?
Command 0 - 10 ?
Audacity 0 -100 ?

and so on....
