A German (G_X) and a Russian (Berserk) army both planning for a long recovery leave accidently clashes deep in Russia.

Apparently the Russians moving East back home for R&R encountered my troops moving west to do the same thing, how interesting.

Oberst Funck's Men, heading home for a break on May Day (May 1st) Have come under fire by Russian Artillery, Colonel Funck, expecting the worst, has deployed scouts to move forward to find any enemies, and report back to him.

One valiant german has already become a casualty, struck by the fragments of a 120mm Mortar going off nearby.

Tigers Sir, two of them. To the North. Just now. Driving towards our positions at speed. One of our AT-Guns put two direct hits into their front armour, but nothing happened!

You see, one of our MC's ran into some Germans in an isolated patch of woods to the south -- they took some casulties.

Good! How many Germans did they kill?

Well, Sir, I mean that is the problem -- you see Sir -- they retreated.

They did what ??! Retreat !! How dare they, tell their survivors that unless they bring in an appropriate number of German scalps within the next two hours, they will be guarding an ammo truck for the rest of the war!

Oberst Funck, one of our Tigers has taken two shots, she has apparently sustained no damage, and the crew is quite well, but the field to the north is now being engaged, and the battle will soon be joined.

Our Motorcycle Scouts have encountered a Russian scout group, but have annhilated them with their machineguns.

The Artillery fire continues to rain down, inneffectually sir, now in the north, and our forward troops have suggested something...I have put it into action already, and hopefully it will soon be in action.

Cavalry you say? That's absurd...don't these idiotic savages...Oh well, What about the Tigers?

They're taking a heavy rain of shrapnel, and one of them has a damaged suspension. Our "Special Suprise" has most likely failed, the first barage was long of it's target, and the second was never fired.

Never fired, Why?

The second Nebelwurfer has jammed, we're attempting to fix it...but it is obviously a delicate operation.

Well, Comarade Berserk. We finally pulled that AT-Gun off the line to make sure that he stopped wasting his ammo.

Well Sir, we also blasted one of the tracks of one of those Tigers with an 82MM round.

I already know about that. Intelligence told me about that long ago.

But Comerade Berserk Sir, this was another track blown of a Tiger!

Well done my good man! So now there are two Tigers with thier tracks blown off! Comerade Stalin will be delighted when he reads my report !!!

But be careful with that report Sir.

You see Sir, We do not yet know if it is the same Tiger that got both tracks blow off or if they are different Tigers with one Track blown off each?

To the North, it appears that we have managed to seperate the FJs and we are now enjoying shelling them a bit. It looks like their Tiger support is gone for the moment.

Very well. What else.

In the center, we have intercepted a PzIV spearhead attack.

Good! haw many were there.

Four Sir, in the woods, without infantery support!

My God, what did you hit them with?

Our horses Sir, we killed all of them!

I would have expected nothing less. I'm a little concerned about the missing support though.

Don't worry Sir. We found those too. They were hiding behind some trees afreid to go into the wood with those PzIV's. A full platoon including three 251/1s and a 251/9.

Good, whats their status.

None Sir. We slayed them completely. There was a Panther in overwatch, but it did not intervene!

Interesting. I will be looking forward to hearing more about that Panther later.

Anything else?

Not really Sir, except for the fact that we killed some recons and MC gangs. Thats all.

Oh yes! one thing more. When we attacked the PzIV's in that wood the strangest thing happened. We think we heard someone at a distance saying: "Cavalry you say? That's absurd...don't these idiotic savages..."
