Blitzkrieg Update

Post by Raindem »

Here's an update to Blitzkrieg 1950. It is an adaptation of Avalon Hill's classic boardgame. It is playable against the PO from either side. I highly recommend this scenario for beginners due to the small map and limited OOB. It's a short scenario, 20-30 turns. But there is an option for an open-ended long game to mimic the boardgame.

Modification for this update include:

1) delayed each sides air and sea transport ability to prevent crazy 1st turn manuevers.
2) changed the "Factory" icons to CIV
3) increased TOE of factory units
4) tweaked the PO for both sides

Note that there are no longer any custom graphics with this scenario. If you happen to have a Blitzkrieg 1950 folder in your Graphics Overide folder you can delete it. It's not needed.

I'm getting errors with the zip file too. "Error in file."
His is going to be the most world-wide anticipated obituary in the history of the world, that I will tell you. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

More precisely, the .ZIP file con be opened and looked into, the .SCE file can be extracted and works properly, it's the .BMP file which doesn't extract.

I'm able to extract and use the files so I'm not sure what's going on. The bitmap is just fluff and not needed to enjoy the scenario. I will post this again, this time just the scenario file. I changed the extension from .sce to .txt so I can attach it. All you have to do is rename the extension and drop it in your folder.

Sorry, it's still reporting as not an archive file (after renaming to .zip) [:(]

It's not archived. Rename it to .sce and you're good to go.

Thank you for updating. Nice map, and the 48 turns is quite reasonable.

Thanks! Nothing like embarrassing myself by demonstrating my inability to read! I'll go crawl back into my hole now...
