Land Combat (cont):

Next up is the attack on Sian. This is exactly 5:1 no modifiers. There is nowhere to retreat to so I assume assault.

The roll is a 3. One defender is lost (I assume the Militia) and the attackers are disorganised.

Land Combat (cont):

We move onto Marseilles next where the odds are 3:1 no modifiers. Again I assume assault but let me know if you disagree.

As per AllenK's post below, its assault. The Fractional Odds roll works but the throw was a 1.

Land Combat (cont):

The penultimate attack is against Vichy. The odds are 4:1 +1 and again I assume this is an assault? As per AllenK response below this is an assault. The Fractional Odds fails but the throw is an 8.

Correct on the MIL.
The loss was a Italian MIL.

I was referring to Warspite choosing the Sian MIL to destroy.

Land Combat (cont):

And so to the final attack. This is 3:1 +4 and will be a Blitzkrieg attack. The Fractional Odds work and an 8 is thrown. I convert the shatter to retreat. I retreat the armoured corps to east of Rouen.

Attention! Looking bad in France!

Note: While undoing moves, French TERR did not move in Africa. It will move some other impulse. If I remember to do it.

The first German bomber unit lost in the war to date. As far as I can recall this unit - with its Henschel 123's - was lost on only its second combat mission, having only been taken out of reserve in May/June 1940....

Note: I cannot find an insignia for KG5 so have used KG55 instead.

Has the specially staffed U-Boat wired in it's observations from the Davis Strait / Baffin Bay yet? In other words, was there a new Weather Roll in this game? I forget who is currently moving first.

Axis started. There will be new roll after this Allied impulse.

S/O 40 Allied 8

No DoW or alignment.

All combined except for Chain land.

Beaufighters from Malta beging patrolling the Italian Coast from the 3-box.

CW sails TRANS from Plymouth to North Atlantic 2-box. Sub to Italian Coast 3-box.

France sends the BB's in Marseilles to the West Med 3-box.

CW declines combat in Cape St Vincent and North Atlantic but the sub has a go in the Italian Coast. The Beaufighter initiates. No additional Allied air is flown.

Germany can add the He 115 from Sicily up to the 2-box. Does it fly?

CW commits the subs.

Searches: Allied 5, Axis 8. No combat.

CW sends a ground strike mission to France. Does the He 112 intercept?
