Islandhopping and supply

Post by bsaerens »

I've got a question about getting supply across an ocean/sea. I've just started the Luzon scenario and got hold of a few anchorages and a couple of towns. Great start I thought, but when I got to my second turn it seems my units are not getting supplied. Is there anything I should know or do to get supplies across?

Or is it maybe because supply hasn't had the chance to get shipped yet. I think each turn is about a day or so.

You need to capture locations with a supply point. Scenario info should tell you were they are....GP

Supplies don't cross water - longstanding weakness in the system.

I've taken a look at the scenario info, but it doesn't specifically say where the supply points are on the island. Using the supply sources option on the map I've spotted a couple of enemy supply points (harbours) and taken them. But alas they don't give me any supply.

I am back... Tell me, which scenario and perhaps I can shed some light on it?

It's the Luzon 41-42 (WW2 Asia) scenario. It seems to be a quite nifty scenario and I'm only just starting.

Thanks for the list. I managed to capture Lingayen by now and indeed it has a supply point.

Is there any way of knowing where these supply points are without going into the editor? It seems the creator of the scenario forgot (or maybe is was intentional) to mention where these are located in the scenario briefing. This is definitely something I need to know as it affects the way I conduct my campaign and prioritize landings within it.

You still have to go into the Editor, but taking a Dump is the easiest way to identify Supply Point Locations. See here if you don't know how:

You don't have to watch the entire video, the Dump is covered in the first two minutes.
