cant launch the game

hi, i bought dsu from gog galaxy and i cant get it to run

i've lurked around the forums here and the support pages on gog but cant find anything that helps, i've done everything, disabling geforce sharing, reinstalling direct x, running in compataibility modes, but nothing gives

there isn't even a crash log in the distant worlds folder i can share for help

whenever i launch it gets to the launcher and i click play game, then it seems like its starting, but when it tries to go from loading into the game it crashes me back to the launcher

any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem, except it doesn't show any sign of launching the game at all, it just shows a hourglass when I try to. I'll let you know if I find a fix.

When you try to run Distant Worlds Universe are you double clicking the icon on the desktop..... if so does it eventually come up with a bigger menu screen as shown below

im running it through the exe in the folder, which opens gog galaxy and starts the launcher, that all works fine but when it loads into the game properly it comes up with this before crashing back to the launcher

can't upload an image but i'll link anyone who's interested in private messages or something

I have no idea how gog works ....I have the Steam version....... but Gog do have a support page with answers to various issues.

Nothing helped me there too. Try seeing if it needs to be updated.
