Continue game after decisive vic?

Is there a way to continue the game after a decisive victory is achieved? I'm playing the AI and it's still 1944, so the scenario is not over. Would think the player should be asked if he wants to continue. Almost every other game seems to have that option.

If you achieve a decisive victory then you should get the victory screen and the game will stop. Which scenario are you playing? If you want to play to the Bitter End, choose the Bitter End scenario. If you have a scenario with a sudden death victory condition there is no way to play on after getting it.

Not that answer I was hoping for. Guess I'm screwed. Wasted time planning the next offensive. A simple toggle to continue would have been virtually minutes of coding. As software developer, I know this. I hope they can add this feature to WitE2
