new features--melee and overrun

Post by nchip »

I guess I'm being lazy because I haven't looked this up in the rules manual but I have played four scenarios of the Stalingrad campaign and I have not seen a melee or overrun yet. Do you have to activate these in the preferences or initiate them with a keyboard key? I know with all of the SPWAW experts on this forum I can get an answer alot faster then searching through the rules manual. Thanks  :D

I used the melee once so far in a generated battle between Hungary and Poland "39. the last man of a Hungarian squad retreated into one of my full 18-man Polish squads. I thought this was a perfect time to try melee. turns out this last guy was an Hungarian Rambo and my squad suffered 32 supression and still the guy was not dead! Be careful how you use it. have back-up.

Drex, I agree, the melee has been less than successsful for me also, but the overrun is great, it's only failed once! And boy I love the sound of running over people with KVs!!
