Dumb move by me

So I got all excited to add a counter and map mod. Followed instructions and could not get it to work. Now, I seem to have done something terrible. When I open the game and select 'New' game, there are no files to choose the game I want. I can load in a saved game but cannot start a new one.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to no avail.

I think I broke the game . Sorry for being dumb here. I'm not great at the mods but when I got all the SC mods to work, I got over excited, lol.

Edit: I purchased the game on Matrix but added the Steam key when it became available if that matters.

Do you have both a Steam install and a Matrix install? Which are you attempting to mod, which to play?

Yeah, so I bought it off Matrix and played it fine. When it became available to Steam, I added my Steam key. That's all I did. So far I've only found one copy of WarPlan but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?

Alvaro is referring to something like in the screenshot for your saved games and scenarios, etc. If you messed things up modding, and try to uninstall, make sure these folders get deleted before re-installing.

If that doesn't help, I'll leave the guru work to Alvaro.

You mean the entire list from Campaigns down to playerData.dat or just the last one you have highlighted? I will give that a shot first before posting for Alvaro. Thanks

Yup. Pretty simple. If you get a scenario mod it should have a name and a folder predone.

Like say North_Africa_1941

North_Africa_1941.scn
North_Africa_1941 (folder with all the scripts and images)

All of them would go under
C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns (folder) as....

C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns\North_Africa_1941 (folder)
C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns\North_Africa_1941.scn (file)

All modded images go under the scenario folder you want to play.
The game will use those instead of the defaults.

I'm confused about the My Games/WarPlan/Campaigns directory.

Does it get updated with patching? How does it work with beta patches?
