To build our first Panzer unit, several German infantry units enter garrison mode.
Manpower is at 98% which is perfect.
Italy buys an air transport.

Existing Panzer units are renamed to 1st and 2nd Light Panzer.
Interceptor units are renamed too, to help distinguish them from bombers.

We are all set to attack in the west should the weather hold!

We also begin redistributing AA guns from low value hexes to higher value targets. I'll show a map
once all transfers are complete.

The Manual (page 92) say that Anti-Air can't be moved. This has obviously been changed. Can you explain how to move AA.

Turn 4???, October 13 1939

The game insist it's turn 4 again, should be 6. But all looks well, the date is correct.
I've applied the latest beta, 7U1.

Rain covers Europe, and the Phoney War sets in.

It's all quiet. Even our U-boats sink nothing and are not spotted.

Italy builds 4 landing ships. One more will be added next turn.

Germany continues redeploying westward. To move AA guns, we need a land
unit on top of the location.
More infantry units are garrisoned to allow the building of another panzer unit.

Turn 5: October 27, 1939

Our u-boats sink 4 merchants but are low on supplies and head home.

Italy builds one landing ship (x10).

Germany builds yet another panzer, but this means too much of our
army is garrisoned, so this will have to be our last one for now.

Since fleets (other than CVs) can't attack or intercept submarines unless in or adjacent to a coastal hex; what is the purpose of his surrounding your uboat?

I'm assuming those are carrier fleets. They don't really need to be adjacent. You'd have to ask Sillyflower.

Germany builds a large corps and 4 landing ships.
Italy builds a small corps.

Redistribution of AA guns is complete. We actually lost some
in the raid on Hamburg.

Turn 8: December 8, 1939

Our u-boats sink 6 merchants. Very happy with that.

Germany buys a large corps.
Italy buys supply trucks (x10), will bring their total to 12.

Since it's an extremely quiet turn, I'll explain why I'm not going to attack Norway.
First of all it would give the UK at large amount of merchants ships, more than cancelling
any u-boat effort so far. It's also costly in terms of resources that can be used in France.
There is little to gain, and we'd have to garrison all the harbors.
The positives are very few, it doesn't effectively help protect the iron ore route. Nor does it really
help us raid the Arctic trade route.

...it doesn't effectively help protect the iron ore route.

This is an issue I want to see addressed. Norway should be important in terms of access to the Swedish ore for half the year.

Indeed it should... the previous ver. of the Game just had it flip over to the Axis, which was a simple and elegant solution.

Turn 9: December 22, 1939

And I was so distracted by the Norway issue that I forgot to turn off the iron
ore convoy route last turn! At least we only lose 4 merchants.
Our own u-boats sink another 4 merchants.

Germany builds a large corps.

Turn 10: January 5, 1940

U-boats sink another 5 merchants. They've done a splendid job so far.
We use our only oiler to keep them at sea.

Germany builds a large corps.
Italy builds a small corps.
