No Logistical Network to Hex

Post by bssybeep »

So, I conquered the zone city next to my starting zone. I'm attempting to extend my logistical network from my home city, but beyond a certain distance I can't construct any logistical buildings because I keep receiving "No logistical network to hex" messages.

I tried building a truck station and a suppply base, but they do nothing to extend my logistics.

FYI, there is a small dotted white line surrounding the area where I can build logistics. Beyond that line into my newly conquered zone I get that "No logistical network to hex" message.

what am I missing?

Use the logistics map overlays to see how many Logistic Points (LP) actually reached hexes last turn. Also look to see how many current LPs are along your supply routes.

Your logistics have a maximum range dictated by the "freetruckpoints" and also depended on the road type and if you have build a supplybase (one is enough on a route, they don't stack).

Dastactic made a tutorial about it. It can be a brainracker but once you got the hang of it, you just get it :)

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the replies. My logistics overlay shows 27 current points in the hex that gives me the "no logistics network to hex" message. I shouldn't be seeing that message in that hex since I currently have 27 points available. So I'm still missing something.

Check the supply preview. You may have lost connection due to something else changing and consuming more LP/LIS.

Otherwise, there may be some minimum LP/LIS for starting construction. I don't think I've ever tried to build in a hex with that poor a connection so I cannot say.

Oh alternatively you may have just got a connection. It takes a couple of turns for logistics to fully sort itself out as you add more hexes or more capacity. Give it another turn and see what happens.

If you could provide a screen capture with the Initial Pts and Hide Units filters turned on, it would surely help to diagnose the issue.

Thanks! That's what it was. Waited a few turns and the logistics kicked in.
