Energy options

Hello All,

It seems I've got ahead of myself....

I've been building and building only to realise that I only have about 10 turns before my energy stocks run out. I haven't yet discovered power plants or solar panels.

Is there some other way I can boost my energy whilst waiting to discover these techs?

You could try flinging some spies at neighboring independent territories and looking for hex perks that give you power boosts - I've found other degraded liquid energy reactors that are like the one you get free in the capital, geysers that give you +100 power points and waterfalls that give you +200. I have been in a similar position to yourself, and that ended up being what saved me.

Also don't forget you can lower the production levels of your power using assets, and doing that lowers the power usage as well.
