Seasoned and veteran units

Just finished a game on hard and noticed how my veteran brigades really did extraordinarily well. Without really planning, I was very successful building up experience against minors when I just did attritional attacks without trying to surround and force a surrender. Normally, winning quickly was not that important and steading pushing worked fine. However, when it was time to fight some majors, i had some brigades that had only seasoned or veteran troops. They did really well. My best brigade was an armored grenadier and they eventually took 3 major regime capitals. Replacing tanks as tech got better was expensive but putting my best equipment in the hands of my best troops really was much better then I had anticipated. All future games I will really try to manage and grow experience in my units. Did not realize how powerful it was.

Yes, the bonuses in 5.10.5.1 are not to be underestimated.
And it is not even "just" their own performance. It is also that they quickly train up newly added troops.

That can make it beneficial to keep some experienced troops back in teh SHQ, where they can train any pre-build units.
