@ Nachtmahr667: Wow! (I had to Google Patreon.) Thanks A LOT! But no thanks.
Just post any issues you may spot with the Packed WP NATO counters please. (Hopefully none by now).
As well as any suggestions for further improvements.

@ srd5090: Glad you got the file location sorted!
As you’ve already noticed, developer Alvaro Sousa is fully committed & lightning fast to help any gamer/modder out with any queries/comments/issues they may rise!

The fleet and sub counters look great. Everything does though.

Phalen - I've noticed a problem when using your counter mod with the beta for the latest game version (Beta 1.00.09U17) - most of the British and Canadian Infantry counters seem to be missing the cross, the NATO symbol is just displaying as an empty box, which rather spoils the appearance - any idea why this might be?

It's a real shame, as this is by far my favourite counter mod, can this be fixed?

But a few are okay:

This didn't use to happen!

Okay, I managed to fix the blank counter issue for the British and Canadian by copy and pasting the normal infantry cross counter over the two blank counters on the counter sheet, but it's odd that it's only the British and Canadians seem to be affected by this, as it seems for this Mod that ALL the nations have two out of the three infantry counters as blank, rather than with a cross. I've not seen this done in any other counter mod, seems odd.

Anyway, glad that my fix worked, as still think this is the cleanest-looking and most attractive counter mod for Warplan.

I did notice one other issue, Bulgaria seems to have the same counter colour as Hungary - could this be made different?

Any chance you can upload your fix to this? I also use this mod and don't have any idea how to do this. Like yourself, I'd hate to have to switch over to something else.

Here you go: https://i.imgur.com/UpdLUpv.png

You will need to rename the above file units.png and place it in the appropriate scenario folders within "Campaigns"

I've only changed the infantry unit graphics for Britain (both sets), Canada and USA (as one of those also seemed to have a glitch), other nations seem unaffected e.g.

Seems that the germas have the same issue...as your screenshot shows.

No, even though the Germans, in fact ALL nation's, seem to have two blank NATO counters, the blank counters were only displaying on the map for the British and Canadians. I don't understand why, though.

I think that those counters can be divisions and small corps.

ps: Which program did you use to edit the counters?

That's what I thought originally, except that divisions and small corps all display correctly for all other countries (i.e. with a cross in the rectangle), as far as I can tell, even though two of their infantry counters are missing the cross. i don't know why it only seems to be an issue for the British and Canadians.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. But I imagine paint.net (which is free) would also work. You need to use something that will preserve the alpha channel (transparent) background.

Personally I think I'd prefer it if the "airfield" counters, used to represent unspotted air units, were also round, to better distinguish them from land and naval units. I've done a rough mock-up with just the British counters, see below, what do you think? Getting the placement of the counters exactly right is difficult with my software, though (or it might just be that I don't know how to use the Guides feature properly in Photoshop Elements):

Are there any other simple tweaks to any of the other counters that people think would be nice?

Thanks, I think I prefer them too. I will try to figure out a better way to align the counters correctly on the counter sheet before I attempt to change these for more countries.

Btw I hope Phalen doesn't mind me trying to make these changes to his counter mod, but it seems to have been abandoned. I'd be very happy to work together with PHalen on improving his wonderful counters further.

I'm trying to change the colour from some countries, but it's being a pain with paint.net
Funnily, windows paint allow me to change the color without affectin the unit simbol or the country chevron...sadly it eats the transparency.

I like most of the country colours, but it's a shame there is some duplication of colours e.g. I think Finland, Hungary and Bulgaria all have the same colour.

I ported this mod for WarPlan Pacific and in the process changed all the air units to circles including the low recon ones.

Here comes the tricky part. I guess I'm too much of a forum rookie to be allowed to post large files or urls, but the file is at the imgur address below. You'll have to make it a real url.

*imgur address removed on 5/24/2021 since PHalen updated the mod with version 3.2. Thank you PHalen!*
