How to slow down or pause info feedback? (Solved)

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

How to slow down or pause info feedback? (Solved)

Post by VonWulfen »

Hello all.
I have decided to give WitW another shot after my previous failed attempt to grasp the game mechanics some years ago.
I am playing along with the introductory scenario "Operation Husky" and the video tutorial.
After setting my initial air directives and then clicking "Execute" my air force carries out its orders but at such a speed I am unable to keep up with the information feedback.
I know there is a pause button on the infobox in the lower right hand of the screen but the action takes place so fast I am still missing all the info.
Is there a way to slow this process right down and or automatically pause after each separate mission, thus allowing me to read and absorb what just happened before the next flight takes place?
Cheers
Edit:
Just found the preferences that allow slowing everything right down. Am happily reading all feedback at my own pace :)

Try hitting shift-p and changing Message Delay.

I don't use the messages myself, but I think that will do the trick.
