Bomber Command and DDAY !?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Bomber Command and DDAY !?

Post by V72 »

There is a historical anomaly that is troublesome to the flow of the game because Bomber Command, even during the periods before and after DDAY, continued its night raids on Germany.

The bombers of the Bomber Command were used indifferently by day and by night over Normandy AND by night over Germany for the destruction of the big cities... This would allow the Allied player to maintain a sufficient level of points to avoid facing the "sudden death" [:-]!

Bêta testeur for : Bombing The Reich.

Sorry, but are you saying you want 'no chance' to lose?
I understand the history but this game is not a pure exercise in History. The Axis player and AI needs a chance to win and the Allied player and AI must be kept on their toes surely?
Admittedly I rarely play as Allied but I cannot see a Human v Human well played Axis beat a well played Allied.

It's a simulation, not reality. If that was the case there would be no point in playing, the Axis player would just sitting around waiting to lose. Sure great fun for the Allied player, woohoo I get to beat on the bad guys and win EVERY TIME. Now at least it is a challenge for both sides.

It's not an unreasonable request to ask for more flexibility with BC, is it? What's wrong with making the game more historically accurate? We can always add a point or 2 to the final victory point requirement.

Wonderful, allow BC to bomb Italy. That's accurate.
