Long eXplorminate Let's Play series finally finished

I've finally finished an epic 102 episode long Shadow Empire Let's Play series over at eXplorminate. It's a long one so fully aware that it's a big time commitment, but on the off-chance there's anybody who is interested that hasn't already seen it, I've linked it below.

I think for experienced players it might be of interest in showing people how to manage very large games featuring hundreds of units, with multiple concurrent fronts. At the end I had something like 70 zones to manage.

I was watching it (probably not all of the episodes, but a lot of them [:D]).
There is not much ytb content for SE, so its always nice. Shorter series (40-50 episodes max) would be probably best[:)], pbem even better.

I honestly didn't intend to start such a long series, and the next one will be on a smaller map because it's completely unreasonable to expect people to sit through that. I did get a regular 200+ viewers which I'm really grateful for though!

I found the bigger maps really shine the game and your hours-long talks about logistics really shine the gameplay.
Hope you add some of the graphical mods for your next games. They really uplift the game.

Thanks folks, I'm pleased people enjoyed it.

I actually take more care over my game when I'm doing a Let's Play, and before this I really didn't like playing very large maps on any 4X game as I tend to lose interest, so this one really taught me how to appreciate the details and that kept me engrossed the whole way through. There's really only Distant Worlds: Universe that grabs me in the same way, and it's a credit to Vic that he's made such an amazing game that I'd enjoy every minute of such a long campaign.

I reckon I'm a lot better at the game now too, and starting to understand some of the nuance that I didn't really pay much attention to at the start, particularly combat resolution and leader skills. When I do another one I'm going to be much more focused on efficient empire management and characters too.

Thanks for the Let's Play. I've watched maybe a couple a dozen episodes. Was very entertaining I learned quite a bit I must say, which I can apply in my first real playthrough I'm doing at the moment.
