WITE2 mini tutorial

Post by Zovs »

Prior to getting ill, I started writing up a mini tutorial. Its currently up to 50 pages but I am thinking most of the info is so basic that is not worth the time continuing on. Plus its really exhausting me to write it anymore.

Originally I was going to write up a detailed first turn but I just don't have it in me.

So I have two options.

1. upload it as is
2. shelve it and when I feel better or up to it complete it

Doing the ground phase I am thinking most folks already know the basics any way so this may just be a complete waste of time. I should have did this back in April.

Do both, upload what you have and if you feel like adding to it later you can do so.

speaking for myself, i play a lot of other games so something like this would help me when coming back to the game after a period of time.

thank you for taking the time to put it together, and Happy holidays to you.

Upload it and accept tips and tricks from the community to make in even better. With the assistance of all the great minds willing to provide input give them credit once and make it your own. I am always seeking a better way to skin this cat. [8|]

I'd echo Budd on this, upload it and go back to it if the desire comes back, some one some where will benefit from it and will appreciate the effort.

I'd been away from wargaming a long time when WitE caught my eye, something like this would've made the early days a lot better and for WitE2 anything that makes it easier for new players is a good thing, anything to keep them engaged and the hobby strong is worth it.

GG for the effort.

Yes, upload it please, every bit of help is useful for us poor beginners.

And once again, great job with your work on turn 1 air directives.

I implore you to please upload your current tutorial.

Not everyone is an experienced player. There absolutely are people, like myself, who are still new and struggling with the basics. Who get great enjoyment out of this game only to get frustrated with unclear checkboxs/acronyms with no tooltips/why arn't my planes doing recon even though they seem to be in range/how exactly do I isolate Odessa by air/wait how exactly do support units work and whats the best way to rearrange them/and innumerable other issues that are basic for experienced players but unclear for us newbies.

This game is incredible. But the manual & tutorial are mind-numbing/brain-fog inducing to us non-engineers and the chorus of 'just go watch Dojo's 16 parts 10 hour long video series' are not helpful.

We need the War in the East equivalent of Sim UK's Highfleet tutorial (Link forbidden).

Succinct video's that immediately address how exactly to perform an action. Generally under 5 minutes, the vast majority a mere 1 minute long.
But no one has made that so sincerely, please, release your tutorial.
