Scientists skills

Post by fistfullobeer »

I have a couple of scientists, one has a bonus to High Tech Research, the other has a bonus to Industry. I do not see any designations in the tech tree for these. What techs are affected by an Industry research bonus and a high tech bonus? Thank you.

It is for the extra requirements of some techs (higher up the research tree). For example, high volume cargo transfer needs 20% Industrial Research. Enhanced Research needs 40% High Tech Research.

Thank you for that info. I was thinking that the techs were organized into these categories.

Is that cumulative requirement or an individual requirement? I mean, does one scientist need the 40% High Tech Research or is it based on the aggregate skills of all scientists within the empire?

Thanks again.

The manual also explains what fits into each research bonus category.

No it comes from other things too. See pic for my current game. As Erik said the manual lists it. See page 61 and 62.
