[Bug ?] Can't build Resort base

Hello !

I have researched the Resort base, but I can't build it (no option for Constructors, or even in the "New Resort Locations" on the Civilian tab).

So I think it may be because I do not have passengers ships and I research those ships & transport modules. Still not possible.

I can design a resort station, but it didn't show in the design list (I changed the filter to display everything in case of).

Anyone have an idea ?

If you have researched all the required techs for a resort base then it may be due to a bug I've encountered. You can't build a resort base at a planet, you have to queue it from the civilians tab and the resort base location. I was stumped why I couldn't build a resort base at my home planet with a scenery bonus until I found the workaround.

In that case check if you have all the required techs. There's 4:

- Resort base
- Civilian ships tech which gives you the passenger ship
- Recreation systems for the recreation center
- Transport systems for the passenger module

I didn't have the Recreation Center, that may be that one

I had the same issue last night.

If you have manual design of ships and bases on then the game won't create a resort base. In that case you won't have a resort base to build.

I had to go in to ship design. IN there there is a toggle to create all types of ships and stations. You'll see resort base in the list. Try to build one and if you are missing any techs you'll get a warning to say what is missing.

Apologies that my instructions are a bit vague. I don't have the game open atm. It should be easy to replicate what I did though.

Specifically:
1. The game stores which roles you have set to manual between games.
2. The game will not create the initial design for any role that is set to manual
3. There is also no warning or advisor message about it.

Just started a manual design. "Must have Recreation capability" is on the list of Errors.

So you definitely need that technology. You need in total:
Reactors
Fuel
Dockign bays
Cargo Storage
Recreation capability
Passenger capacity
