Easy cash

Post by Radamanthe »

He indeed accepts the deal. Many times.

You know what? I would not only fix that joke, I would also add specific code so he laughs at me instead. But you're the boss ;-)

Until patched ( and it will be) Tech trading needs to be off and all spies need to be manually on counter intelligence only if you want a decent challenge.

I always say to those who use exploits like this in a single player game and then complain about how easy it is to exploit you are only cheating yourself.

The logic is that the Boskara actually have a sense of honor and want to help you economically so it will be a fair fight

Just to be clear: I saved the game before validating this amusing deal and I restored after that. Even if 1000 credits is nothing, I just cannot stand exploiting a game, not even using poorly tuned features like selling tech or anything for a lot more money than it is worth. Though I currently spy to steal tech, but I doubt I'll do it anymore once I know the game enough if it stays so easy like that (which I doubt too anyway).

TBH, given what they threw at me, I guess they pity me more than help me ;-)

I think the real challenge is actually understanding:
1) Ships leaving there fleet (which is set to manual) to go on suicide missions
2) Why the game tells you to colonize an independent colony that just joined you, but not actually letting you do that.
3) The constant messages that just are just plain stupid. If you disagree with recommendation of the game, you will get non stop messages to do what you dismissed a dozen times already.
4) Why does a fleet (set to manual, set to guard it's home planet) decide the go on a suicide mission all on it's own?
5) Why does the game have a manual setting, if manual control is not possible (see number 4)
6) These are just a few of the wonderful things this game has. Why was an alpha build of a game released as a finished product? Unless this is the way it's supposed to work, then yeah, great game.
This is what truly is the "Challenge" of DW2. That and not rage quitting.
