About salvaged characters from escape pods

Hey distant residents.
After demolition of a pirates lair, my ships picked up two escape pods, and trasported a pirate leader and a (pirate) scientist back to my homeworld.
I don't care the former pirate leader too much. However, I do want to make use of the scientist. Any way or interface to interact these characters?

Yes, if you look in the menu where you can find your spies, there's another tab for prisoners. There, you can choose to kill, them, return them, or try to bribe them to work for you.

I acutally looked for them in prinsoner tab before I seeked for help, purely based on my experience in CK2.
I don't know if it is a bug or by design, they are not in the prisoner tab, I can only see them in troop/character row within the bottom left colony window. no interface to interact with them

They are bugged. You can not interract with them.

Yeah, right now they seem to be bugged. The first place that the ship that picked them up docks at will get them but they don't show up on any of the leaders screens, just on the base or world that the ships docked at.

"Rescued" characters from killed empires/pirates end up in a limbo state and doesn't show as prisoners, because you can't return them to the non existing owner I guess.
