GP, Jeff (HMSDevonshire) bought the game before he became a member of the forum, so I don't think he registered it. So in his "My Page" on the forum it's not seen. Short of having to rebuy it, do you have any advice for him? He is currently my opponent and we would like to continue the game.

did he buy it as a physical item or a download? If it was a download then he should be able to register it now, if he has the email they sent

Do you still have the email with the order number? If so, you can register it now. And when/if you get it downloaded again, put a copy on a mem stick or something.

If one goes to the forum and then goes to "My Page" (on the banner across the top) then one is taken to a page that lists the games you have purchased either as downloads or directly (hard copy, as long as it's registered). Once the game info is there, then there would be no need to retain the original email.

dr hal, if he doesn't have the serial number then he should try customer support. If he has the serial number then all he has to do is register the game....GP

Good idea GP. I'm sure he had the number at one point, so hopefully he has the old email that has it! Thanks. Hal

There should be a file in the AE directory on the disk that contains the serial number from memory.

MichaelM is correct - the file is called serialreg.txt and is in the main WITP-AE folder.
