Request: No auto-activation of exploration overlay

Request: No auto-activation of exploration overlay

P L E A S E !!! Get rid of the auto-activation of the exploration overlay. It's annoying as hell!!! :evil:

I've never needed it nor used it. Whenever I need to manually manage exploration (for instance to spy on enemies with long-range scanner equipped exploration ships), it obfuscates everything on the map and just make everything more difficult.

In the eventuality that hell would freeze over and that I'd need it, I can activate it from the Zoom Presets and Camera View panel.

If some people like that auto-activation, then please put a game option that allows to choose whether we want it or not.

Completely forgot about the Diplomacy Relations overlay auto-activation. Pretty much everything I wrote also apply for it.

Can't find this option anywhere in game settings nor in policies settings. Where is it? This auto-activation thing makes me crazy...

Is it possible to make exploration overlay less visible? I liked the old version.

This is temporary. The old version had performance issues on some rigs.

It drives me crazy too! :evil: I don't know of any way to stop this auto-activation either. That's what I'm asking for. I really hope this gets added soon, for my sanity... and apparently yours too! :mrgreen:

Oh man..thank you for posting. I like the overlay, but when I click "OFF" It should stay off.

It's auto-coming on only if you dabble in the Exploration menu, like looking at your Exploration ships. Yes, I agree, it should not auto-switch on when having that menu open. I find it annoying as well.
