trade

Post by slo »

So I have both the US and UK sending over 100 production to Australia, but it never seems to show up. It has been a few turns now and yet they still only have 57 production per turn and nothing in the stockpile. Both trades are listed on the trade board and there has been no sinkings from Jap.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Could it be that you don't have enough merchant marine? UK+USA start with 148MM, if you are also sending resources to India, New Zealand... Not enough MM.
My native language is Spanish, and no English language mastery, sorry.

They UK don't even have 100 PP per turn...not sure how they could send 100.

Best I can send its around 50...unless you are in 1944/45?

Then you might have enough MM and PP

US plus UK are sending over 100.

So on the US trade screen I am sending 90 production and 6 oil...total of 96...US merch. marines shoes 0...if I cs the trade the merch, M show -96. I thought that means that with it canceled I have 96 MM not being used. when I make the trade I am now using all of my MM.

Do I not have that correct?

Would need to see pictures.
What year is it?

Turn 1 the UK start with 105 MM...some are used to bring resources to the UK around 40 but if you still own the DEI it could be 40 more.
But lets assume the DEI has surrendered.

So you have 105 MM...less 40 for imports, you have around 65 MM to ship resources.

The US start with what 46? So they can ship at most 46 somewhere.

But without seeing what you are seeing it is difficult to determine if you can sent 100PP...
The above scenario you can.

On the trade screen it does not show you how much you can send based upon how many MM you have but on how much you can send based upon your resources.

SO the US "might" be able to send 100 PP to say Australia, but since they only have 46 MM only 46 will go.
NOW if you send 100 PP and 20 oil it will randomly ship PP or oil up to 46...or so it seems to be random to me. I am sure there is a formula used.

hmm, thanks so much for your reply. This is turn 4, but i set the trade up one turn 1. I just find it interesting that Australia does not have any more production then they produce when i am sending everything the usa and uk can send them.

I must be doing something wrong.

Possibly not enough MMs.

Trade is supposed to be in small amounts not large ones. MMs send resources from a minor to a major. Then if you want to send resources back to the Minor it takes more MMs.

Reason? Minors have raw resources, Majors have industry. Thus the double swap.

So india will send X amount to UK using Y amount of MMs
if the UK wants to send some back then more MMs are used.

Raw resources for Finished goods.

Simple system.
