Troop Ungarrisoning

Post by Tammeroth »

Greetings,

I have almost 1000 hrs. played. Before my current save (Which started at 1.0.5.8, and is now at 1.0.6.0) I have always been able to manually garrison troops at my planets, and they stayed garrisoned forever, unless I ungarrisoned them. In this save, however, the AI just decides to ungarrison my manually garrisoned troops for some reason.

I don't know why, and it is making me crazy!

My Troop Recruitment policy is set to Manual, my Colony Garrison Level is set to Very High, and my Attack Troop Level is set to Low (If any of that matters).

A prominent member of the DW2 Discord told me that, as far as he knows, with the current patch, the AI decides how many troops should be garrisoned on a planet based on that planets population, and that there isn't really anything that I can do about it.

Can this be true?! Players really can no longer decide how many troops to garrison on a planet?

If that is true, I think that my head is gonna just explode

If that's true, you won't be alone! Here's a picture taken with the new ornitron component, that allows to see what happens in parallel universes. In it, we see some members of that universe's DW2 community, after learning that the AI took over entirely troop management, from A to Z!
