"1. Naval support not present at 0(0) port once port is built up"

Well, I have just checked Nihau (port 0/0, Hawaii). The base is in range of the Naval HQ in Pearl Harbor. No naval support present at Nihau. Does that mean naval support iwll show up once Nihau's port is built up to level 1?

While waiting for the 'last' official path, I have dropped in the 'unofficial' beta patch.
Just unzip into the game folder. Suggest saving the old files first.

Michael thank you for all of your work! How do we use our command line switches with the new EXE?

Yaab, I was always under the impression that naval support is only included at large bases and that you have to bring any naval support with you to ports you build up.

I perused the notes and don't believe any switches have changed or been added. Might have missed something, but my old command line works perfectly in the new patch .exe

The bug was that SPS (0) ports could not use naval support present on the base even when there were port levels developed at the base. The fix is to make the NS usable once a level one port or more is built.

@michelm

There is something wrong with CAP in this patch. It doesn't fly.

See https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3&t=386774

So, I'd suggest refraining to use this patch until it's checked.

Patch file has been updated with a fix to correct the land-based CAP not flying issue.

LOL was going crazy wondering if there was some weather or other under the hood reason why all my fighters on CAP were being destroyed on the ground. Thanks!

I fired up a Downfall game with this patch and so far, so good. The nav support fix is working as advertised.

Is there anything else I should look for?

Thanks for the efforts, Michael.

Typically, it's only done if you have spent PP's to assign a TF leader who was not the ship captain of the largest ship in the TF. If you disband it, you will have to pay the PP's again when you form a new one to assign the same TF leader to it.
The other way to do it is to transfer all but one ship to the base. Keeps the leader and also keeps the TF number. Not sure this is needed.
You're exactly right, Chris. That is the way to keep your TF leader and number. This patch change adds a confirmation check for people who accidentally click the Disband button when trying to click one near it. I've personally not had much problem with this, so not sure what my opinion of the confirmation click would be.
Another option is to assign another vessel to the TF while putting the rest into a port or another TF. Those HDMLs make nice yachts for the Admirals! You could even change the type of TF to an Escort TF.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Really just asking whether we should expect an "official/final" version of this unofficial patch at some point? Is there perhaps some indicative ETA for it? What's the plan here, please?

Cheers and thanks!
