Rail artillery

Is there a trick to assigning rail artillery now in the editor? As soon as the Armored Train or Rail Artillery icon is selected all equipment becomes incompatible. Thanks. Curt

Trick - go to the Cadre at the end of the OOB, add your equipment, hit 'G' to copy it, scroll back to your target unit, hit 'A' to paste the equipment. Easy-peasy, like rubbing two sticks together :P

Thanks. I guess it's been a long time since I worked with that type of equipment. I forgot how fussy some of those icons are.

Never heard of that fix.

IIRC, what I used to do is use a cadre infantry unit to add the equipment and then change the icon to rail artillery.

I suppose one could also save a .gam XML file and modify the equipment therein.

Cheers
