Did the AI Capture a Cruiser of Mine and add it to its own TF?

Playing Guadalcanal as Allies vs AI.


It seems like the game may have glitched. The CA Australia is now part of an IJN task force and my planes attacked it. The ship is listed in the game under TF 15. When I click on TF15 I can see other IJN ships in the Red TF? Strange.

Is this normal?

The Australia is attached to TF 15. Even though it is IJN, I can open TF 15, see all the stats for the Japanese ships, change leaders, even select human control.

Under human control I may be able to send the Red TF to a destination of my choice. Imagine sending the Japanese TF straight to Sydney or Noumea Harbor!

You either have a corrupt install or you have missed an update.

You don't have an industry management button on your top bar.

What version of the game are you running?

I was still running the 2009 version. I purchased the game recently and assumed it shipped with the most up to date version. The updater in the start menu doesn't work.

I downloaded v1.01.26a from the website and now am using the 2015 version. I may update to the beta version from 2022 also.

This is cause he plays a small scen and not the full campaign, so not a bug.

You are mistaken. Check again.

If you don't have the industry management button in the Guadalcanal scenario
then you don't have the game updated or installed correctly.

Possibly memory failed me.. I played a year ago.. and do not have the small scens to check.
I will delete my post. I plan to play a game again if most issues in the new patch are solved

I checked the ReadMe file which contains a complete list of all bugs amended so far by the patches. There is no mention of a bug like yours in the file. Probably michaelm wiped out the bug while he was dealing with some other issues in the code.
