How to prevent Tsunamis?

Post by Kielm »

Small issue with a major impact - hopefully it'll be fixed in the planned hyperspeed update?

First off: I've disabled colony events, so this shouldn't be happening. I'm not sure why it is, I'm not using any mods.

I've put a lot of effort into cultivating high-quality colonies in my latest game but I'm still getting a ton of Tsunamis, and to a lesser extent, also plagues / outbreaks occurring. It's incredibly frustrating as one by one, my colonies are getting smacked from profitable back into a drain on my empire. I'm basically stuck stagnating because something like 1/4 of my 24-ish colonies have now been hit by tsunamis in the past few years.

Is there any way to actually, really disable these colony events? I don't know why they exist in the first place, it's basically a "do you want your colonies to be periodically, randomly and repeatedly nerfed" button!
