Ah yeah, good call. I'll yank those.

I had been playing around with the glow map images and had that as a backup. Forgot to clean them out when I created the archive.

Modding manual doesn't mention about race specific UI images modding option. If you add raceName folder in \images\ui\chrome\raceName then game will use this images instead of general \images\ui\chrome\
This available in original game and BM\EM, but only for themes.

I did notice DasTactic did this in his DasChrome work. Weird that it's not documented in the modding guide :)

Check research.txt, x1.5 and x3 versions.
Version x1.5 and x3 have different tech tree prerequisites and race settings compared to base.
Version x3 have lesser cost multiplier than base or x1.5. Base and x1.5 have mostly same cost multipliers.

Cool, thank you. I had brought those over from RetreatUE. I'll just yank them, as I didn't do anything with them.

Also check "copy" files, there is 1 folder and 10 files.

Cool, yanked those too (reuploaded the .zip of 0.9.4). Good idea on just searching for stuff like "copy" in the files. I try and look through the various folders, but obviously miss things :D

Released v0.9.5 of DWUR. Updated original post.

-- Lowered resolution on some gas giant planet assets. Some were 1000x1000 for some reason. That might have been contributing to the planetary ring clipping bug that has been present in DWU for a while. Lowered the resolution down to 525x525 to be more in line with most other planet image resolution. We'll see if that fixes the situation. So far so good!

-- Normalized effect volume levels. Strived for a true peak of -2.5 and a LUF of around -14 for active sounds and a LUF of -25 for more "ambient" sounds like construction, mining and star sounds. Doing some ongoing testing to see if that works. Figured I would just release it to get others in on the testing.

-- Added Alvek to the title page credits since Expansion Mod is boss! :D

Played for two days with new sounds, they are better than in 0.9.4.
I think explosions need a little decrease in volume and notifications large decrease in volume.
Not sure about others weapons but missiles bit quiet, maybe that's because explosions too loud.

I have some hearing loss from my time in uniform doing big boom-y things, so I appreciate the feedback. My ears aren't as good as they were when I was a film editor out of college :D

I'll keep tweaking. I'll post when I upload new sound files.

Big BADA BOOM! :D

Released DWUR v0.9.5a

Brought down explosions, alert alarms and a couple of others that seemed a bit hot on my audio levels.

At a certain point, I wonder if the game itself adjusts the gain on some effects vs others. The audio files themselves all seem to be roughly the same loudness, but they do seem to be softer or louder in game.

Happy to keep tweaking, though!

I noticed I was missing a race help file so I threw one together. Not my best work and it's adapted to what I've got going on here. The text is easily changeable (I use notepad++) if you don't like the origin story.
