Picture generator doesn't match plan view.

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

I'm finding this to be a common occurrence. The hull is often longer than the plan view, and guns (both secondary and main) don't match where they are (nor the direction in the case of secondaries), especially if you have moved them from their default position.

Example here of what I'm talking about. As you can see, the secondaries bear very little resemblance to the plan view, with some facing the wrong way. The after turret is too far forward, and the hull is too long, resulting in the quarter deck being too long.

This one I didn't move the guns, but as you can see, the after gun is too far forward once again, and the hull is still too long. So it's not moving the guns that is the problem.

Looks to me like they forgot to upgrade the picture generator when they upgraded the plan maker.

Thanks for the report.

We didn't forget, frankly its that the the side-view generator had lower priority than other items. This is however something we can look at in the near future now that things are getting a bit more settled.

Good to know it going to be looked at. When you do, can you make it so that the setting 'no guns' means exactly that? No secondaries etc. At the moment, 'no guns' only removes the main armament.
