France Surrenders Twice!

Post by petedalby »

No surprises there I know....but this is one for Bill & Hubert.

Challenge ID 426464

France surrendered at some point in 1940 and the Allies retained the French Fighters & Engineers.

In 1942 Paris was left unoccupied by my opponent and the Partisans spawned. France was 'liberated' but quickly crushed again by the Germans and duly surrendered.

With the 2nd French surrender both the Fighters & Engineers disappeared. Another impact was that the MPPs generated by French Polynesia also evaporated.

Not sure if this can be changed but it didn't seem reasonable to lose the units and the MPPs. I think this was probably accidental on my opponent's part but provides a future potential exploit opportunity.

Thanks

Yeah I haven't had the double surrender but when I liberated france, the french fighters that originally had converted to british switched back losing all their upgrades. I think when countries are liberated, units shouldn't convert back as it can cause odd behavior like disappearing if they surrender again and losing upgrades.

Thanks for the reports, we are having a think on our end for what if anything we can do here that doesn't potentially introduce new and unforeseen issues.
