Dev Console - Where's PP?

Post by JagdFlanker »

having fun editing with the dev console, just curious if anyone knows how to adjust either your total political points or the amount you get per turn? I figured out where all the other data I wanted was, but PP seems pretty elusive

The Supreme Command Council Director allocates the political points (PP), here you will find a slider to adjust between Stratagem Card generation, or PP. Also, your Secretary sets the National Budget which allocates BP to the different Council members, which includes the Supreme Command Council. So either adjust the Command Council slider to more PP versus cards, or adjust the National Budget for more BP towards the Supreme Council versus the other Council.

It should be SE_DATA 140ish Regime keys, although I just tried it and the only thing that was easy to edit was FP, finding PP there is probably easier exporting it to csv and finding it after you figure out your regime id but if you really need PP just mod in a hex building that gives PP and make it spawn more. Or use CE as I am pretty sure its easy to edit there. Or just make more BP and have your Supreme command council director give more PP. You can also mod it so you get regime bonuses added to buildings, so you can give yourself + ai huge PP bonuses. Although any mods require a new game(You can change values ingame though(can't create new ones?), so you could go dip 1-2 and get 4000% pp bonus instead of 40%. Or maybe even change the regime bonuses completely ingame. Edit: SE_Data 86 flex production types also allows you to edit the hq's political bonus points. Although those bonuses don't actually seem to add many points. You could probably edit the bonus you get for PP's in the regime key area for 1 turn(before it resets) and get a ton that way.

Thanks! I did sort of figure it out, there is no 'total' PP column, you can add PPs in 'Regime keys' but the game will spend most of it and just give you the leftovers at the start of the next turn, so at most you may get double the PPs of what you would normally get (20 to 40). A lot/most of the extra PPs will be spent on new strategems

i just wanted extra PPs on a single turn to switch leaders around in 1 go, but with more digging there should be other ways to skin that cat
