Think that Port 1 size single ship docking is too much.

Currently a port 1 size allows a 6000t ship to dock , it is also its capacity overall. I think that too big for the smallest port and think also as the port are decreasing in size the more difficult for bigger ships to dock.
Is it hard coded or it it possible to change in editor?

I think that it is hard coded, look at the docking capacity and ship docking capabilities for the port sizes.

What you can do is change the starting port size in the editor (you will have to save the changed database as a new scenario). And if you change the SPS for the port as well you can make it easier to build or enlarge the port.

Pax - start the Editor and open the scenario you want to modify.
Go to the Locations tab and scroll to the name of the island for which you want to change the Port or AF SPS or actual build. The word Build in the field name means SPS value. The other one is the actual starting value of the Port or AF. Make the changes and save the scenario in an unused slot above 25.
See the screenshot below:
And note that this must be done before you start the first turn.

Hey! That is how to get fuel to an inland base with Heavy Industry! Have that inland and landlocked base be able to build a port! Then not only will the Heavy Industry demand fuel but so will the port.

I know that, but not what i want. Thanks anyway. I want to dock minions while a big merchant would be in the bay. IMO the issue of bay size vs pier size facilities have not been resolved nicely in AE and factor that for AA protection, ASW/midget.

BBF,

Yeah, I might have miss understood the OP. I thought he was asking how to change the Port size 1 from 6000t to something smaller, like 2000t. I think RJ is correct, it is hard coded outside of what we can change. But, you may have answered the OP. Anyway. Thanks!
