My only problem with the weather is Clear in late November.

November is dark and miserable, daylight hours are very few, for sure air operatins at the very least would have been affected. The ground in November is never like it is in high summer, no matter the weather.

Excellent point, even in Gary Grigsby's WITE2, daylight hours is not count depending on the season.
I had this to my list of the perfect grand strategy wargame. :D

Clear can happen in December as well as October...which is the rainy season...

ALSO after a prolonged winter it is odd to go to clear in April which happens alot.

Just saying...each one is bad for Russia early...

And helpful for germany later, right? So it balances.... I like the randomness of the weather. I hate it when it's too predictable.

IF Russia survives...that is the issue in 41...any free turn is really difficult to recover from.

Truly more people should play the Severe Winter version...it is SO much better for 41...Germany is SLOW to restart in 42 which is the real help overall.

I don't mind randomness but again there should not be any "cold" turns. German tanks were terrible in the mud and Russian winter. A cold in the middle of November makes now sense after a month of rain...it would be mud.
Change the cold to rain and issue is likely solved since "mud" is not a season.

It is a mod I made and playing it as Axis vs AI. I made it specifically for that. It is now somewhat harder to win compared to the standard 1939 small fleet scenario due to numerous small changes I made. It is fully up to date with the latest 1.28 patch. I am playtesting it right now, including a brand new graphics mod.

I'm sure this is just a wonderful mod! I think your map with real distances and the correct location of geographical objects and cities will give the game a second wind. Is there any opportunity for me to try your invention?

Well, it is just about finished. I played it through and all was fine. I modified quite a lot, but all smaller changes. Just to make it a little harder to play the Allied AI. The map is thoroughly researched, including the infrastructure. I am quite fond of it. People are still interested in something like this?

I will be happy to put it up for grabs soon.

This is very interesting! Not only are there edits that reflect the real state of things, including the summer Road of Life for Leningrad, but also visually the map looks simply amazing!

I would have added Bodo on the map. Just a small thing.

At the very first glance, the roads have changed, in Norway and Finland - probably for the balance of the game, and the Murmansk railway in Russian Karelia - according to real history, right? Although highways in Northern Norway seem to be absolutely not a real thing? However, like the highway in the Pripyat swamps in 1939...

Not sure of the roads up by Murmansk...That will heavily outbalance the game I believe.
One Panzer up there and Murmansk will fall which is a game changer.

Right now it is difficult for the Fins and the Germans to get supply there.
With a road supply will be easy.

I do like the swamp changes though...too many roads there before.

Even today, roads in northern Norway at not at all like down on the continent. They are narrow and winding. And often no alternative routes should anything be blocked.

I am looking into the road between Kirkenes and Murmansk and reading up on Dietl's attack there in 1941. The roads were on the map, but during the attack the roads turned out to be non existent. The maps were inaccurate. So the stretch of road between Kirkenes and Murmansk I will delete.
