The disband TF box was changed from mouse-driven to keystroke-driven because some players were accidentally clicking the wrong letter and disbanding the TF, which might a require PP expenditure to select a new leader. I guess this way forces you to slow down and think about it.

It's been a bone of contention for some time.

I've also noticed how the patch messed up a lot of UI elements. In particular, the font.

Here is a screenshot from 11.28:

And here is a screenshot of the same unit from 11.26B:

I sincerely hope this patch lives up to its Beta tag and doesn’t represent the final quality of the release. Please tell me this is not the final patch of the game yet. I’m counting on you guys! Thanks again for all your hard work! :D

Try using the keystrokes Y or N instead.

To avoid accidental disbanding of the task forces.

Very likely the update overwrote the interface and map mods you were using. You'll just have to reinstate them. You'll probably have to adjust your switches as well to get the font back to what you want. Updates tend to restore everything back to the original art and settings.

On my post I have 2 versions of 11.28, one unmodded on the top and one modded on the bottom (only ART mods btw). I'm using the same switch for all the versions: -px1920 -py1080 -deepColor -cpu2 -altFont -altFontSize

To tell you the truth your screenshot is so blurry I can't tell which font it is. However, I recognize the art and buttons in the three lower pics as being from Skacee's art mod.

If you right click on the picture, select "Copy image address" and paste it on another tab you will be able to see my screenshots in full resolutions.

Okay. So I went back to my switch and delete -altFont -altFontSize and I got a better result:

So I guess I can't enable alt font and alt font size for 11.28. I guess could live with that. Unless you guys have any suggestion for alt fonts. :D

The -altFont switch feature seems to be working as it always has for me. Lucida Sans Unicode font as before.

Yeah I've tried putting on -altFont without -altFontSize and it works too! I guess the culprit is -altFontSize.

Been playing around with the new patch for a bit and I won't lie, I miss being able to disband TF freely. 8-)

Other things I've noticed is that some campaign scenarios have inaccurate description with them:

Probably going to need a bit more detail or a screenshot of where it is you are trying to add them. A lot of people make the mistake of trying to add them to the game's executable file instead of making a shortcut first and adding them to that.

Hmmm. Try removing the "\Beta" part and see if anything changes. I'm not using that path in my shortcut, and it seems to be working fine.

Yours:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe"-wd

Mine:
"C:\Matrix Games\WITP patch 2024\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -skipVideo -archive -deepColor -dd_sw -px1366 -py768

I made a fresh isntall of WITP:AE, then patched with an offline patch 1126a, then patched wth an offline v1128Beta. Game runs fine.

The new patch doesn't create a Beta folder in the game folder.

After the beta patch installation, my game folder structure looks like this (all folders included in the picture):

It's been a bone of contention for some time.
First of all many thanks to everyone who has hardly worked to make this patch possible.

Then a request for developers:

I have been a convinced supporter of the opportunity to have a warning before disbanding TF but i cannot
understand why the mouse is disabled and we are forced to use the keyboard to choice yes or not in the popup.

The explanation that this has intentionally done to avoid an unadvertited mouse click is non really acceptable and
if someone commit a second error after the warning well i think is right that he will have to redo averything.
(told from an user that is not so quick with the mouse).

Second and must important thing is that forcing to use of the keyboard in the game is terrible when we use witpAE on a tablet.
On my windows 7 fujitsu everything goes well with the pen or mouse but when i have to use the keyboard i need
to let appear the virtual keyboard on screen (moving the pen to a side of the screen then pressing the requested then closing it and etc.etc.
A little nightmare.

So i warmly recommend that in the popup that ask for disband or not TF mouse will be abled again (as is in the popup that ask if we want close or not the game)

Many thanks again for this update.
