Q about editor

I don't have the game yet, but I already have 2 simple questions
1) Map editor- can I create my own maps, and how large they can be?
2) MP PBEM - I have seen a lot of V&V tournaments going on, but I wonder if they are real-time ("hot seat") or PBEM? And how fun are the PBEM matches?

Its been a while but.

1) No. There is no map editor.
2) Not 100% sure but I suspect they are PBEM. Fun is relative.

Your testing/beta testing portfolio is impressive. As I understand from your signature, WitE2 is your top-fav game?

For a squad-level editor for my scenario idea. You have tested and played all of it, you created scenarios - can you recommend something?

SPWW2 or SPMBT
Squad Battles (from WDS)

I have all the WDS titles sans the Naval system.
