Fleet Automation: Invading/Attacking Allies

Post by Eratosthenes »

I recently ended a war that had multiple combatants. I'm now not at war with anyone.

My Attack/Raid/Invasion fleets are continuously trying to invade other planets, though, belonging to allies, as well as those I was last at war with.

I don't have a planet in the system they're trying to invade (nor influence over the system.)

I checked and the planet is not marked to be invaded.

I can distract the fleet momentarily, but they are insistent on invading/attacking/blockading. This didn't happen prior to going to war. I noticed that an AI I was NOT at war with also invaded one of my worlds.

It's almost like the "at war" flag isn't clearing w/r/t fleet automation.

It has made my game practically unplayable, as the problem is just getting worse. Fleets are wanting to invade allies, and my ships are attacking unaffiliated ones. Unless I set everything to manual - which is not tenable - my reptuation gets tanked, and my relations sour (I went from +55 down to -12 due to bad behavior, and one former allie has a -450 reputation penalty from attacks against their ships).

I'm just constantly canceling missions, and I can't get my fleets to retrofit or reload troops because they're just continously flying off to invade some planet in an empire I'm at peace with.

Do you have saves and screenshots showing this? Is this reproducible from your save?

Attached two screenshots.

Top two fleets were previously loading troops. When that mission finished, they automatically set themselves to invade a planet.

As you can see from the SS's, that planet belongs to someone I'm at peace with (I was at war with them recently).

This didn't happen prior to me going to war. Perhaps some sort of war flag or invade mission isn't being reset?

What version of the game are you seeing this on?

I did see your PM - you can upload or send us a save by sharing it through a file-sharing service like Google Drive or WeTransfer, or you can email at this address: maxim.k@slitherine.co.uk.

Thanks for the save. Looking into it I don't see your Raging Bulls fleet attacking or invading the faction in your screenshot. I do see the fleet Deadly Spectres on a mission to attack a colony of one of your allies. Cancelling the order manually, the fleet does not pick up the mission again. Do you happen to have a save from before this moment?

Also, we released v1.3.1.0 as a public beta. Are you seeing the issue on this version?

I have not tried it on the beta release, no, sorry.

How far back would you like me to go?

Here's one save from a few years before this instance, but I believe after my first war with the Dhayuts: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aaCfW_ ... sp=sharing

Here's one a little later than the above when war flared up again, in part due to the issues I noted: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V225XU ... sp=sharing

Also, you generally don't have to wait long before they try to invade someone they shouldn't, even after canceling.
