Haven't played much yet. Do armies in the field and particularly those performing long sieges suffer attrition? Thanks.

Actually, if I read your question right, your attacking units who are conducting the seige will indeed suffer attrition...if you keep your cursor on the attack, with your attacking armies displayed on the bottom, you will see them turning red as they suffer losses....

Poor phrasing on my part then. I didn't mean losses during a storming of a town but rather losses from disease, etc while waiting for the folks inside to run out of food and water.

I do not think you can sit idly by outside the gates of a town and wait them out...once you enter an enemy city you have the choice of either assualt (which could be deadly) or seige...if you do not enter the city but hang around the adjoining territory, you'll probably be attacked long before a city's supplies run out....

Well maybe we're on the same page then?! I do mean attrition during a seige, not an assault. However I don't view a seige as "entering the town" unless you mean moving into the same space as the town to trigger the seige/assault popup? I didn't mean just being out in the open near a town. My impression from comments above was that attrition is not implemented in either case though.
