Newbie Question about adding ships

This is the place for all questions related to modding Starshatter.

Interesting, it shouldn't be in dat format. I don't think I even ziped up my attempt at dating that ship. If the multiplayer is grayed out, then just go to custom missions create one add the fighter and play away.

Yeah, I've seen Mehrunes's page... However, it does not offer an integrated demonstration of an actually functioning mod, which is absolutely necessary for me.

I added the sample mod I created to my page. It has a couple ships, a couple of weapons and a single mission mod compaign. It also has a batch file that'll run the archiver to create a regular, functional .dat file for you.

Just to make it clear, this are ships made by several different people. One is from good old Pheagey and is almost 3 years old, and it is quite powerful.
Are you talking about Pheagey-class Mass Driver? That thing is practically flying cannon! And agreed, it's great [:D]

Old site you are referring, is Starshatter Dev. That site used to have a lot of individual ships and 1st edition of the Hold the Line. Basically it was early incarnation of the Starshatter Central, but it actually had some stuff [:D]

Looking forward to have all those ships there on SSC, so everybody can enjoy them (both in def and .dat files) ;-)

Here's a very simple sample mod. It has all the basics, including the mod_info.def. I think Mehrunes originally posted it, so thank him!

Thanks, Melkor, and all! The mod is now underway. The B5 mod proved excellent ground for SS studies. I managed to create a functioning model and start to get hold of how this system works. I'll be sure to post what I get done to the SSC. [8D]
