B5 Hold The Line

Been out of the states for a while. Lost my backup of the B5 Hold The Line mod, the one in RAR format(50 some odd files).
Does anyone know where I may find it Online. Thank you in advance.

The B5 mod is now available from Starshatter central, in the downloads area, conversions, B5 section.

It is a 520 MB file and you will need winrar to uncompress it... and patience! Lots of it![:D]
You need to be a SSC registered user to download (registration is free).

if only MATRIX GAMES would get those servers ONLINE NOW for us!!!

I am looking for a more bandwidth solution for SSC - which will cost me more money, but I am willing to do it, in order for SS to thrive.
The Powweb package allows up to 5 GB of bandwidth per day, so they've interrupted the service after when we were around 6,2 GB.
It seems that you can't buy more bandwidth and that a visited site like SSC would need a dedicated server for it.
If I buy space on a ded server I will profit to set a MP game server as well.
I am going to need your help to migrate, once we find a better solution, Damocles.
In the mean time, wait and see...

If we go dedicated, then, I"m going to want to get us a real skin, and some other features, maby even get milo to link the servers into the site so we can see who is online in what area, basically it would be a full blown community site.

I cant do the design alone, its been way to long since I designed anything in php tho.

and I'm to busy to learn right now, maby if I got a few weeks break I could learn php then, the earliest for that would be april...

I"ll keep my eyes open, unless we have some hardcore php guys here who have the ability to code a skin

it would have to look like ss 4.5

Just out of Interest whats taking all that Space up? Is it a case of the Texutres being that large, if so it should be posible to compress the textures without loosing alot of the quality, thining back i dont think the b5 mod for Freespace was that large and that had some v nicelooking ships.

btw if you nee some help with codeing php i can probly help been a while since ive touched phpnuke tho.

I sent a message to feedback at starshattercentral (link to the following post mentioned) and posted in the B5 forum there that I am willing to mirror the file to save the bandwidth there. That was 2-3 days ago and no reply...

it has about 4x the ships of the freespace mod, and its texture sizes are 1024 not 256 like the freespace one.

the second you compress anything in jpg you screw it up and show major artifacts, that is NOT good for in game textures lol

uncompressed its around 1.1 gigs

Great to hear it DamoclesX i rember the Fs mode quite fondly especialy getting RC2 ill have to set some time this weekend when i get 5 mins to download the mod nice test for that 2 meg line [:D] from the screen shots hats of to you their awesome textures, thats one of my failings atm.
