factories

do i have to build factory whr the resources are?say if i wanna build another factory in england would it do me any good scince englands resources and pop is low.or would i be better offf building it in a region whr i had ample res. and pop.

Yes, you have to have the resources and pop. England/Scotland run really short on MP so they don't need more factories. The USA also runs short on resources after all the multipliers kick in. You don't really need more factories as the WA. Not sure about the other sides of the conflict.

but if you built a fact in england u could still draw resourses from their possesions[providing your transport lines are in
tact]correct?so if i did build one in england would'nt
be able to build units because of pop limit but i could build supp and research right?

Correct on both counts. As long as you have a transport link to resources the factory doesn't have to have the resources in its area.

Joel,

Transport meaning (drawing from other threads) friendly/neutral contigious land areas and/or connected transport at sea from the resource back to the factory. Railroads are irrelevant (despite the in game pop-up to the contrary!). Right? [:)]
