SSG hit by a trojan! (Now Fixed)

Post by Fred98 »

I went there and received a message that a trojan was there.

Wouldn't go there for a while or to the forums.

I've been checking on the Tournament status weekly and i got my first "Trojan Alert" from Norton 2005, it blocked it of course but i had to manually delete it[8|]. It wouldn't suprise me if that's where it came from.

I passed along this report. They have taken their forums down and are looking into it to see whether there is actually a problem. If so, I'm sure they'll fix them and get them back up as soon as possible.

I had the same problem. My virus scan caught it, but no damage was done.

Hmmm, "entire European scenario"? I'm intrigued. I went to the SSG site and couldn't find anything out about that one. Do you have any details or a link to info on it?

Well, since the SSG site is down, I can't link to the map, now, can I?[;)]

Check in the BII general discussion forum when it's back up. I'll link it when it's back up-Robjess has done an amazing job on the map, which pushes the limits of the map coordinates.

The map looks AWESOME!!

I mean THE best map of the whole of Euro and North Africa Ive seen in a game full stop.

It will be PBEM only and will take an age to play.

BiI is worth buying just for this, I hope to god someone makes an AI for it BUT it would be worth a full price game if they do.

Thanks for the link! That truly is an amazing map. Wow.... corps level for all of Europe and North Africa. If it came with an AI, I would gladly pay the price of a new game for it.

Thanks for the link.. definitely looks fantastic. I presume we'll need BII to run this? And BiN won't do it?

The scale and turn length I believe will be bigger than BiI.

The European scenario that is being worked on will only work under Battles in Italy, the scenario starts in June 1941 as the Germans commence Barbarossa and then goes for 80 turns and ends in about Dec 44 (i think). The scales is, divisional sized units and each hex is about 20km. The map includes all of europe and north africa.

We will shortly be publishing an AAR of the scenario (a few turns at least) and then after that we will release the scenario as a public beta release - otherwise given the scale we will spend the rest of our lives testing and tweaking it.. I will not be provided much more infor here at this site, if you want to know more then head over to Run5 - the SSG discussion forums.

Rob

From the looks of the map this is going to be great. Thank you for all your hard work. Can't wait to give this one a try.
