I would imagine you would have to assign only primary missions and no secondary missions to be sure they will fly in the morning (1st) phase. Ofcourse you could always be rained in...

I do but can't work out how to send it to you.

It is saved to Floppy disk from the saved game file.

Any advice ?

Done. Still always second to strike. Could it be morale?

If both Japs and Allies have airstrikes in the same phase (morning or afternoon), then I believe the strikes are considered simultaneous....

Is that clear as mud?

DEB,

Check the first post in this thread by Nikademus. It has the email address (just click on it) to use when sending in saves.

Mike has produced a patch at this point so i cant gurantee he'll have time to look at further issues but send me the saves anyway.

Supply issue:

FT's that have spare capacity will default to "IDLE" status after fully loading a LCU. If they have spare capacity you can then click "Load Supply" and the unit should then preform that function and proceed towards it's destination with both the LCU and some supply

On the issue of supply disapearing after landing. Need to look at the saves and see if i can duplicate and/or better document what's happening.

Nic, how about the aircraft disappearing( like my F4F-4s)? Did you and /or Mike find anything? I have noticed that B-17s also seem to disappear, I am hopefull that any correction you guys make will fix it too.

Hello...

Here is list:

Uncommon Valor Completed List
Please delete uv.prfs file, before applying patch.
6/22/2005 v2.42

Bugs Fixed:

1) Aircraft, even if in groups in rear area and stood down, were disappearing for no apparent reason. Fixed.
2) Pilots in excess of maximum aircraft for group were being retained. Fixed. Note that if the group has many excess pilots, it may take a couple turns to reassign them all and pilots with kills will not be removed from group, so if you have a 24 plane group with 28 pilots, all of whom have kills, don’t worry. Be happy.
3) Coast watcher reports for enemy shipping far out to sea were being generated. Fixed.
4) Air groups in the reinforcement queue with zero aircraft were being classified as “Disbanded/Withdrawn”. Fixed. All groups in the queue are now classified as “Reinforcement”.

Clarification: When a player tries to bomb a target hex, with friendly troops in it, effectiveness will be reduced, as group commanders try to avoid friendly fire casualties.

Clarification: If orders to load a task force are given and the entire load can be accomplished, immediately, the load orders become “Idle”. So, if you give orders for a fast task force to load a small land unit and it can load the entire unit right then and there and you want to take some supply in some extra, empty destroyers, you should then click on “Load Supply”.

Hope You like it...

hey Mike, sorry to pester you with this at the 11th hour....BUT,
I think I recall in the readme of 2.41 that "attacking fighters that failed a morale check during air-to-air combat would not break-off....FIXED"

However, in the short time I had 2.41 installed...I noticed they were still not breaking off...
Attacking bombers would if morale failed.....but never saw the number of fighters decrease while in air-to-air...

Could you maybe take a look at that? Again, I'm sorry.....thanks for your dedication to this classic game....[&o]
And if ever in San Luis Obispo area, Corona's are on me...

My game save is "not supported" ( .UVS ) it is also too big ( 370KB ).[&:]

It now also appears to be too late anyway. [:@]

( Is it not possible to apply the same/similar "fix" as previously used to Sc. 11 ? ) [&o]

How do you copy a game screen ??

Each day, when I get to work, the first thing I do is check this forum to see if the new patch is ready. The mystery of the incredible shrinking squadrons must be solved!

Is progress being made?

Cheers
