I'm interested for sure with one caveat - all of us agree to do the turns in a timely manner, ie no more than 1-2 days to get your turn out, and to finish the game.

Sounds like we're all set then and yes quick turn around is key.

Any suggestions for set up and side? I really don't care though I think I'd like to do something instead of the common default 1805 one.

Want to try the balanced one for 5 years? I haven't tried that one myself.

I prefer the historical scenarios - 1796 is good as it allows some time for the powers to develop a little and have it matter. IMO 5 years is too short, then it is just a quick 'wargame'. I would think France, Britian and Austria would have to have a player, the other player can pick any nation. We should give the AI an advantage also, ie up the Power and Difficulty. We could set the game length to 10 years and victory to the one with the highest glory. Any one have a preference for sides? If nobody else wants I will take France. And what time zones are everyone? I am PST.

Sounds good Ron as I'm not really picky.

Lets do 1796, ten years and since you start the game off with France Ron just bump the AI up to what you think is best and advise us. Highest Glory is fine. I'm still trying to figure out what makes the best PBEM game so open to ideas.

Ron - France
Jeff - Britain
Mike (Nego) - Austria
Yohan - Russia

Ok the game is setup and the first turn has been sent to Britain. I set the difficulty to 'Difficult'(don't have much experience but Normal seems too easy) and gave all the computer players Power +1(I believe they get an extra Corps). Anyways my email for Yohan is zonsa AT telus dot net. Good luck everyone, should be fun!

PS Make sure you set your policy first turn re trade/agressiveness/diplomacy/password else we will all be at war first turn!

Indeed! All it takes is one person to be out a few days... It will happen I'm sure at some point.
