My first try at this was the 41 senario as the US vs the AI. The time involved was unbelievable. I really enjoyed coming accross adverse situations and finding solutions. I found the users manual impossible to trust! My first game was by trial and error. My first disappointment came when the Japanese surrendered in Dec92! Though I had destroyed all their fleet carriers the Japs still had much of their territory. In reality we know the Japs would never consider surrender until the home islands were invaded. My second disappointment came after I had invaded the home islands. I made landings on both ends and moved towards Tokyo. As my armies marched, Jap army formations started popping up behind the lines! Another disappointment was that the Japs didn't appear to be as aggresive as they were historically throughout the game.

All-in-all I will be playing this game for a while. I plan on next playing as the Japs in 41. This game reminds me alot of a game published by Quantum Quality Productions in 1994 called WW2- Battles of the South Pacific. Designers were Rod Olsen, Bruce Williams and Mike Isom.
