1)i would like a little better graphics. I understand 100% why it couldn't be done and I know Matrix did what it could(and they did a damn good job at it)but I still wish the graphics were a little better.
2) not such a long wait in between turns.
3) this is not a wish, just saying I like Matrix a lot and they are a good company! [;)]
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

I didn't mean to "open a can of worms" and give Matrix nor the developers a hard time by starting this thread, so I'd like to conclude my remarks in it by saying that I am the sort of person who can always think of ways of "improving" any game, whether it be a high quality game like WitP or a relative "Donkey Kong" game like Age of Kings. There's always something I would rather see in a game. I don't mean to drag the producers and developers of a good game like WitP down. God knows, if more companies were like Matrix and 2by3--well--let's just say I'd have even less of a "life" than I currently do.

That said, I also enjoy seeing other people contributing to what they think would make a great game even better. Some good ideas often come out of the exchange. And one of my designs from the very start has been to put preasure on Matrix and 2by3 not only to improve upon their fantastic work with WitP but to keep possibilities open in the future for a WitP 2. I would be the first one in line to shell out an additional 70 + $ to buy a "new and improved" WitP 2.

Anyway, just to make things absolutely clear on where I stand with WitP, I visit the forums, I post AARs, I'm involved in two PBEMs, I love the game and the companies involved in it. The only other game that I play half as much as WitP is Civilization III. I don't visit Civ III forums, I don't post Civ III AARs, and I'm not involved in any Civ III multiplayer games. I don't think anything could testify more to how I truly feel about a game than that.

So my appreciation to all the folks involved in making WitP an even better game. Just don't expect me to sit quietly and let the game fall by the wayside in the years to come.

How about one forum for dream-list wishes, and one for wishes that might - someday - come true? [;)]

For the latter, mine would be:
1) Able to change HQ for arriving units before they enter play for no PPs (unless assigned to a restricted HQ).
2) Able to withdraw/disband LCUs (or just return all their components to the pool.)
3) Be able to divide Allied Aviation Regiments!

(Folks complain about too many a/c at a base, but one of the reasons is that most of the aviation support is tied up in the huge Av Regts! It might be historical, but I feel it limits the Allied player too much in '42, especially if one loses most of the USAFFE and ABDA units.)

LoL....my girlfriend agrees with you. She thinks the game should show the planes actually dogfighting on the combat animation screen and little paniking men running and jumping off ships when they are hit by aircraft bombs.
